For over two decades, she has led groundbreaking studies into tropical diseases, resulting in 15+ patents and countless lives saved across the continent.

The Journey

After completing her initial medical training at Ahmadu Bello University, Amina secured a scholarship to the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. It was here that she identified a critical gap in how traditional knowledge was being integrated into modern epidemiological models. Her career has since been dedicated to bridging this gap, ensuring that African perspectives are not just included, but are foundational to global health solutions.
